Wayne Lee

Wayne Lee's journey in motor racing began at a young age. He vividly remembers the first time he took his stock M135 on track at Queensland Raceway—it was a moment that sparked an enduring passion. After experiencing various sports cars, the vehicle that taught him the most was his Toyota Supra, which also provided his first taste of victory. With the Supra, Wayne achieved first place in the 2021 Queensland Raceway Open Sprints series and secured the top spot in King of QR. This car also offered him his first glimpse into the competitive world of the World Time Attack Challenge.

Following this success, Wayne aspired to elevate his racing experience and decided to purchase a previous outright winner of the World Time Attack Challenge: the Hammerhead. After acquiring the car, he recognized the need for an updated aero package, a new engine, and a fresh identity. Thus, he introduced Tanuki—the name inspired by Japanese folklore, where Tanuki statues are often depicted with a prominent pair of "balls."
